The Whirlpool WPW10340983 Ice Machine Water Inlet Valve controls water delivery into the ice-making system when its electrical solenoid receives a signal. It is fitted at the water supply connection, where the inlet line connects to the valve & the outlet directs water toward the ice maker fill tube. When energized, the internal passage opens and allows water to enter the ice mold for the programmed fill cycle. Once the signal stops, the valve closes and interrupts further flow. This assembly regulates the water supply required for the ice production cycle within the appliance.
