The Whirlpool WPW10241025 Washer Drain Pump Assembly removes water from the tub by creating the flow required to move wastewater through the drain system. It is positioned in the lower section of the washer, where the pump connects with the tub outlet hose & external drain hose. When the pump motor receives an electrical signal its internal impeller rotates & draws water from the tub before directing it toward the drain outlet. The assembly maintains the required water pathway between the wash tub and drainage line. It supports controlled water removal during the designated drain portion of the washer cycle.
