The Whirlpool WP3398095 Dryer Push-To-Start Switch responds to pressure from the appliance start control and closes the required electrical contacts to activate the selected drying cycle. It is fitted behind the control panel, with its terminals connected to the dryer's wiring harness and its actuator aligned with the external button. When pressed, the switch changes the circuit state and allows the starting sequence to receive the required electrical signal. Once pressure is released, actuator returns to its normal position while the dryer continues operating according to the selected controls.
