The Whirlpool WP3355758 Agitator Cap is a protective cover that fits over the top of the washer agitator enclosing the retaining hardware and internal mounting components. It snaps securely into place to shield the agitator fastener from moisture detergent residue and clothing contact during the wash cycle. The cap is installed at the top of the agitator assembly inside the washer tub where it provides a finished appearance while protecting the internal connection.
