Quick Overview
Whirlpool WP2254574 Refrigerator Tray. This evaporator tray is a shallow pan located behind the crisper drawers of the refrigerator. It collects condensation that drips from the evaporator coils, helping to manage moisture within the appliance. By doing so, it prevents frost accumulation and eliminates the need for manual defrosting, which was common in older refrigerator models. A properly functioning evaporator tray is important for efficient operation, as it prevents water from pooling inside the refrigerator, which could lead to food contamination and mold growth. If the tray is damaged, such as being cracked or leaking, replacing it with a new Whirlpool WP2254574 tray can help maintain proper refrigerator function.
