Quick Overview
The Samsung DA97-12540G Refrigerator Ice Maker Auger Motor Assembly is the powered drive unit within the ice-dispensing section, providing rotational movement to the auger used for moving ice pieces toward the dispensing outlet. Positioned behind the ice container, the motor transfers rotation through the auger mechanism when ice dispensing is activated. This movement carries stored cubes forward and directs them through the chute for dispensing. The assembly works as part of the ice delivery system, coordinating motor-driven rotation with the container and dispensing path to maintain controlled movement of ice during operation.
