Quick Overview
The LG 6615JB2005N Refrigerator Defrost Thermistor Temperature Sensor Controller monitors thermal changes near the cooling coils to regulate the automated melting cycle. Positioned directly within the evaporator assembly of the unit, this electronic sensor confirms whether the cooling fins have reached the proper warmth to clear frost accumulation. When the cooling system runs, it transmits data to the main control module to manage the activation of the heater element. If the frost layer builds up, this component immediately signals the system to begin melting ice, instantly optimizing airflow to maintain the storage compartment from improper cooling.
