LG 4470JA2008A Ice Gear for Refrigerator
Quick Overview
The LG 4470JA2008A Refrigerator Ice Gear transmits mechanical rotational power from the small drive motor to the automated ice extraction system. Positioned inside the internal gearbox housing of the assembly, this angled wheel meshes with adjacent linkages to reduce motor speed while multiplying torque output. When the temperature sensor triggers a collecting cycle, this gear rotates slowly to turn the ejector blades or twist the molding tray. This mechanical rotation forces solid ice cubes out of the mold and down into the collection bin without jamming the drive.
