Frigidaire 5304517279 Door Latch Assembly White for Dishwasher

The Frigidaire 5304517279 Dishwasher Door Latch Assembly White locks the front door firmly against the main tub frame to prevent liquid leakage during sanitation cycles. This mechanism catches the door strike hook upon closure, connecting an internal microswitch that signals the main board to allow water initialization. Mounted properly within the upper console trim, the unit ensures a compressed perimeter gasket seal under active wash pump pressure. It holds the door frame square against shifting forces, breaking the electrical circuit instantly if manual opening occurs. This interlocking component manages retention, keeping the cleaning chamber sealed throughout high-temperature wash operations.
